2009 Summer Update
So far I've had an incredible summer with an amazing group of talented guys called The Manhattan Project, www.themanhattanprojectband.com . So sorry I haven't updated the "News" section, I've been SO busy, but I promise I will get on top of things! I've had anawesome time in Lake Geneva, WI, Walter Payton's Roundhouse, Aurora, CD & ME, Frankfort and looking forward to headlining this years Romeofest , Romeoville along with with upcoming shows at the famous Ballydoyle in Downers Grove...
I have been been fortunate to experience playing with a ten piece band, seriously a memorable experience that gives me goosbumps on stage everytime!
Keywester - December 9th, 2006
A huge thanks to our family, friends, and fans who partied with us at Keywester on December 9th! We had a great time playing for you!
We always have a great turnout at this venue... the crowd (and the band) were already in the holiday spirit that night (the pics on the right only tell part of the story....). Additional pictures from this show are now posted on our Photos page.
The band would like to wish all of you a wonderful holiday season and a great 2007!
Kimberly Kane and Big Trouble will be back at Keywester in early February - we can't wait! This will be a "must-see" show. We will have new music and a surprise or two...
We appreciate everyone's support... we had a great year in 2006 and look forward to an even better 2007!
Happy Holidays!
AAARRRRRRGGGHH!
After taking two days to recover (physically AND mentally) , we wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who came to the Halloween Party at Keywester on October 28th. What a great turnout! Congratulations to all the costume contest winners!
The band definitely raped, pillaged and plundered the stage Saturday night with added new Halloween songs and ending with an encore performance of a Red-Bull infused punk version of " Build Me Up Buttercup" which left the crowd wanting even more.
As of Monday the 30th, Kim still hasn't taken off her costume (we think she wants to be a full-time pirate, she keeps saying the gold tooth is staying, but we'll get her to take it off by Christmas.... )
Kudos to all you freaks (like us) who will never grow up and got dressed up in some of the best costumes we've seen in a long time! Thanks for making this one of the best Halloween shows we've played!
See more photos on our Photos page!
What a Weekend!
We want to send a big thank you out to our fans, friends and families who made the weekend of Aug 18/19 one to remember! We had great back-to-back shows at Venice Tavern on Aug 18th and Potter's Place in Naperville on Aug 19th. Our show at Venice Tavern was moved indoors due to rain... this turned out to be fun for the band as we were able to be up-close and personal with the audience.
We thought we were going to be rained out completely on Saturday Aug 19th since the skies looked threatening, and unlike Venice Tavern the night before, Potters Place has no room for the band inside the restaurant. Fortunately, the clouds parted, the skies cleared, and the band set up and got ready for a rowdy night. There was concern about a new noise ordinance in downtown Naperville... but after Kim saw two Naperville police officers on bicycles outside the patio entrance smiling and giving the thumbs-up, all worries were put to rest and the band rocked downtown Naperville until shortly after midnight (Kim also politely invited these officers to sign off duty for the night and join the party).
We want to send and extra special thanks to Dean for supporting us since the very beginning, and want to wish him good luck and much success in New York! We hope to see you when you come home to visit!
For anyone who hasn't been to JTs Porch in Lombard, this place is a blast! Our next show will be there on Friday, September 15th. This place always starts out slow and ends up rowdy (in a good way)! So, if you get the "summer is over" blues, get out to Lombard and tear it up with Kim and the band.
New Tunes added to Website Music Player
If you haven't already noticed, we've added several new songs to the website music player. These tunes were recorded live at JTs Porch back in June. We may be adding more tunes down the line, so check back often. These tracks were recorded direct to 2 track, with no editing or post-processing. The mix may not be perfect and you may hear an occasional "oops", but listening to them will give you a good sense of what we sound like live! Check them out. (to scroll to the next tune, press ">>").
Potters - July 22 - Cancelled due to Rain !
After looking forward to it all summer, our show at Potter's Place in Naperville was cancelled because of bad weather. After the rain stopped, we still probably could have played, but there was still an inch of rain on the ground, and we didn't want any of the band members becoming a nice, crisp french fry.....! Ha!
Unfortunately, many of our fans were already on their way to the gig, fortunately, they still came and stayed, and we as a band were able to party with our fans for once in the inside bar, Two-Nine.
We wanted to send a shout out to Danette and her friends, Neil, Mark, Shannon and their "entourage", hope you had a great birthday Jason! Kai and Stacey, Erika (for driving all the way from the city), as always, the Catch 35 and Potter's Place staff who partied, drank and danced like true rock stars!
We will be back at Potter's Saturday August 19th, weather permitting, and will be ready to rock downtown Naperville!
Venice Tavern - June 24th
We want to thank everyone for making the June 24th Venice Tavern show a night to remember! What a great venue! Outside, on the Fox River... I think we woke up all of Batavia and made the Swedish Festival across town close down early! Ha! It was only our second show with our new bass player, Bob Miller and you wouldn't have even known it. We want to extend a special thanks to the Batavia based-band, Unvisioned, for their enthusiasm and for motivating Kim to stand on the bar and sing to them!. We'd also like to thank Dean, Sheryl, Bob, Danette and Neil (our ever present supporters), Stacey and Kai, and especially our friends from Catch 35 in Naperville who came out to support us. Unfortunately, they showed up a half hour AFTER the show ended, but still stayed and partied like rock stars! Better late than never!
Our next show is Potter's Place in downtown Naperville on July 22nd. We will perform on the outdoor patio in the rear of the restaurant. Don’t miss it! We're excited to announce Bob Miller from the well known band Dollhouse as our new permanent bass player! We’ll be performing many new tunes at this show, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Introducing.... Bob Miller on Bass!
Born and raised in Elmhurst, Illinois, Bob Miller is the newest wrench in the Big Trouble works. His fast, and dexterous slave-to-rhythm style is matched only by his energetic and voracious stage presence, carefully honed from decades of headbangers and legends alike. Drawing from talents like Geddy Lee, Roger Glover, Steve Harris, and Angus Young, he has developed a lively, energetic melding of stage and sound, an energy which has been harnessed by such acts as Liaison, Kadaverfest, Kato the Houseboy, Posin, and Dollhouse occasionally standing in for bands like Jane Doe, Dawn Patrol, The West Sidewinders, and most recently, us. Bob is definitely the right fit at the right time.
JT's Porch ... thanks and what a blast!
Thanks to all our fans who partied with us at JTs on June 10th. We had a great time and we hope you did too! We'd also like to thank Dani for serving us well, Tiny for keeping things cool, and Eric for having us. We'll see you in September!
Big Trouble Returns to Potter's Place !
The band is delighted to announce that we've landed two dates at Potter's Place in Naperville this summer... Saturday July 22nd and Saturday, August 19th. Potters has great food, great Margaritas, and a great outdoor patio on which to enjoy them, along with us!
We look forward to our return to Potters this summer! Mark your calendar now and plan to join us!
Venice Tavern, Batavia, Sat., May 13th, 8:30
This will be a first-time appearance for the band at this venue. Weather-permitting, this will be an outdoor show. Venice Tavern has an outdoor patio which overlooks the Fox River. It is a great venue to enjoy fine food, drinks, friends, and us! We hope to see you there!

Venice Tavern, 31 N River Road, Batavia, IL (630) 761-3334
Check the Schedule page for additional dates!
